Abhijeet Shrivastava is a Joint Managing Partner at Shrivastava Law Associates (SLA). At the Firm, he specializes in Litigation, Arbitration and Corporate practice areas.

Abhijeet has considerable experience in advising on all aspects of dispute resolution including arbitrations and mediations. His multi-sectoral expertise, deep legal knowledge and understanding of legal procedures, allows him to deliver efficient and pragmatic solutions.
Abhijeet’s caseload involves cases with significant commercial sensitivity and reputational implications. He has successfully represented large companies, multi-nationals, business groups, PSUs and Government departments in the Supreme Court, various High Courts and Appellate Tribunals & Judicial foras including NCLT, NCLAT, NGT, TDSAT etc.

Abhijeet is an alumnus of Jindal Global Law School, Haryana (LLB) and Durham University, United Kingdom (LLM). He has also done specialized courses in Corporate Law and Commercial Law from London School of Economics. He is a Member at Supreme Court Bar Association of India, Madhya Pradesh State Bar Association, Delhi High Court Bar Association and International Law Association.

Being a home-grown litigator and having successfully for more than 100+ clients, he is often called upon for quick advice on challenging legal situations including those related to boardrooms. He is actively involved in pro-bono matters and works with weaker sections of the society, creating legal awareness and fighting for their legal rights.


  • Appeared before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and secured significant reliefs in matters concerning Loan Moratorium issues, whereby the compound interest was being arbitrarily charged by banks on those who had availed moratorium on loans during the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Acted for major mining and cement producing entities before various High Courts in the challenge against Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation Act) Act, 2021 and successfully secured major interim reliefs.
  • Advised and represented a retired public servant before the Supreme Court of India on the issue of obtaining prior sanction of the Governor for initiation of departmental enquiry and got the said issue referred to larger bench for consideration.
  • Advised and represented a major Newspaper Publishing House before the Supreme Court in contempt proceedings arising out of implementation of the Majithia Wage Board Recommendations for minimum protection of pay and social security to Journalists all throughout India.
  • Advised and represented a major global Chartering Company in Arbitration against its shipping disputes with Steel Authority of India (S.A.I.L.), a Maharatna Corporation of the Indian Government, arising in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis of 2009.
  • Advised and successfully represented in a matter pertaining to initiation of criminal proceedings for evasion of Stamp Duty before the Supreme Court of India.
  • Advised and represented a well-known Cinema Theatre Conglomerate of India and Production House in recovery of State Subsidy in Tax before the High Court of Chhattisgarh.
  • Advised and successfully represented a well-established Mining Overburden (O.B.) Removal Carrier Agency of Chhattisgarh against investigation initiated by the Central Bureau of Investigation before the High Court of Chhattisgarh as well as the Supreme Court of India.
  • Argued and secured relief in a matter pertaining to challenge of Election Petition against the Vice President of Panchayat, Korba, Chhattisgarh in writ proceedings before the High Court of Chhattisgarh.
